How Solar Works
Invest in solar panels today – Make your future brighter!
Solar Panels convert sunlight directly into useable electric power. Sun never demands any bill, cost or fee while it’s supplying sunlight to entire world from billions of years and stay with us till ends of time. Every day, sun rays travel in space and vacuum, covering a large distance, hitting our roofs.
The working and processing of solar panels are quite simple and easy to understand. Check out the structural configuration and working of solar panels.
Silicon cells are the backbone of solar panels. Generally, Solar panel has a series of interconnected silicon cells that are linked all together forming a proper circuit. Silicon is a semi- conductor and this in built feature becomes main backbone that why silicon is used as a fundamental configuration. They are structured & constructed with a positive – a negative layer, collectively creating an electrical field like a battery.
As the sunlight strikes Solar panels, photovoltaic cells get energy and due to their random motion, the energy is generated in the form of DC commonly known as DC. The rays coincide with the solar panels and the conversion goes on. Solar Panels are the main stream of energy now a days. Once an electric energy is produced, it’s just required a conversion, from the DC to the AC. The inverters are used to complete the job and then the alternating current is supplied to the house.
For the storage, there are batteries being installed with the solar panels, storing the excessive energy might be used in future to satisfy the electric power needs. Enjoy a low cost electricity with the help of Solar Panels! All possible now because it’s 21 st century.
Net Metering (Grid-Connected)
What happens when your system produces more electricity than you are using at your property? Simple: it is sent out to the energy company to power the grid. The energy flow is tracked meticulously by your bi-directional electrical meter. This process is commonly known as Net Metering.
- PV system powers your home. Any excess electricity is sent back to the energy retailer giving your feed in tariff credits in exchange.
- At night or when the sun isn’t providing enough power for your home’s needs, the home is powered by electricity drawn from the grid.
- At the end of each quarter, the homeowner is billed per kWh for grid usage minus the feed in tariff credits.
